There are few things more satisfying than driving with the perfect musical accompaniment. Whether you're watching the sun crest the mountains to the strains of an Arvo Part mass, careening down a pitch-black country road while blasting some Zola Jesus, or indulging in a late-afternoon Refused headbanging session, there always seems to be a song or two that's adapted just right to a given time, mood, place, or season. The goal of Maxwell's Music Hour is to dig up those perfect songs, songs which hopefully will form the basis for some wonderful memories (driving and otherwise). Generes will be all over the map but each show will be structured around a relatively tight theme (or several). In addition, each show will showcase a few artists who are playing unmissable shows in the city during the following week. I'm very excited to be joining the WBAR family and I hope y'all tune in!
