This week is suitcases so pack your scuffed leather valise with the worn off stickers full with your favorite traveling hats and come aboard on this show of adventure! Maybe these are songs you'd like to take with you on train rides through the countryside or songs you'd hear in a local coffeeshop

You smell sunblock and chlorine - you have a speedo one piece that's lime green: hey guys it's pool prom !!!! it's 2001 and we have all those summer daze, suburban haze classics for ya - Zero 7, Belle & Sebastian, The Cardigans and many more - Your guy friends have dyed tipped spikes and you have middle parted hair with one thin braid framing each side of your face that ends in a bright orange bead - Vitamin C's Graduation song comes on - You just got out of the pool, angle your head to the left in order to scrunch it dry with the towel while you laugh in slow motion at Tess dripping her red popsicle all over the place - you exchange eye contact with him - at this point, you two are aware of the heart spilling messages you both left in each other's yearbook : "hey Jamie- I wish I could have gotten to know you better - don't ever change" - "Hey Jess, I always thought you were pretty cool. well hey! have a good summer !" yeah, that's right, you two clearly are meant to have this one last summer together before going off to college - It's about time - for all those painstaking, adolescent years of pent up fear and curiosity that Jess and Jamie will finally have their slow dance at POOL PROM ! We have infinite proms for the rest of our college experience so although this is the last one of spring 2013 do not worry - you will get your romance back on with Vanessa and Katie in the fall of 2013 !
