I'm going to be totally embarrassed!" -You blast "Age of Consent" While getting ready in your pastel colored bedroom - lavenders, baby pinks, and light aquas paint your walls - while - aerobic leotards, neon leggings, and pale blouses fill your floor to ceiling mirrored closets - "Just Like Honey" soundtracks your date's arrival, drive on Ventura Blvd, and slow entrance through the gymnasium doors as you walk through the dispassionate white balloons that hover awkwardly above the ground - The synth of "Bizarre Love Triangle" and modern tunes of Com Truise and John Maus saturate your night, while "Don't Dream It's Over" winds it down as you rest your cheek on your date's chest - You run in the streets with your date to "Frozen and Distant" with heels in hand - you rush past desolate Liquor signs and Bowling Alleys - BECAUSE IT IS ACTUAL PROM SEASON - VANESSA AND I WILL HAVE DATES AND THEREFORE YOU SHOULD TOO - even though we go full out for every one, if it is even possible, we are even going MORE FULL OUT FOR THIS ONE - we even have THREE SLOW DANCES rather than just two - pictures and all so go on over to 1986 and to the (818)- we will see you there
